On February 21st of this year, we joyfully and gratefully celebrated the official opening of our new housing facility, capable of accommodating 400 international workers at Vieruitersten 25 in Meijel.
After an inspiring speech about the societal importance by Mr. Michael Theuns, Deputy of Spatial Planning and Housing for the province of Limburg, Martijn Janssen, Director of Tempo-Team Netherlands, delivered a speech. Martijn addressed all the attendees on behalf of Tempo-Team and Randstad Netherlands as the lessee of this location, emphasizing that this facility sets an example for how housing for international workers should be. Finally, an interesting speech was delivered by Councilor of Space, Economy, and Housing, Rob Wanten, from the Municipality of Peel and Maas, explaining how this location ultimately came to fruition.
Following these engaging speeches, the ribbon was cut by, from left to right: Leon Kanters (owner of Parc Starterbos), Stefan den Breejen (owner of United Homes), Martijn Janssen, Michael Theuns, and Rob Wanten.
After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, all visitors had the opportunity to explore the facilities during guided tours, where they could take a look at individual living spaces, communal amenities, and outdoor areas. During these tours, they also received information about the housing, residents, and the support services that are made available.
To conclude the event, an informal reception was held, where guests had the opportunity to enjoy refreshments while continuing conversations and networking. The opening of our new housing facility was a moment of great joy and gratitude, and we look forward to collaborating with the community and all stakeholders.
